On and Off The Wall

Hyperactivity, Real Genius, and Paint Shop Pro

Fun with gradients :^) I'm toying with spectrums, opacities, textures and other such fun things. I developed a swell red-orange-yellow-red pattern which interfaces particularly well with large text; the effect is tres` Mortal Kombat or Indiana Jones =^D

Aside from this I'm watching 80's films and answering my letters; I'm always one or two behind.

I might traipse off and go do some fic, but sssshhhh! Don't tell anyone ;^D

It's Official

The Bouncy, Bubbly Days are BA-AAACK! WOOOOO! ^_^

Hello all. The site renovations *ARE* still going on, but will be slowed since I'm having to SHARE the Internet, and my computer >_<
New personality tests, new linkies, crap like that. This is easier to adjust than the main site, hence why there's more stuffs on it ^_~

I am the unthinkable, unspeakable, the unsinkable.

I am JHETI! Hear me babble! *Boundind about babbling happily*
I am Elrond the Drow, Lord of Moria!
I am...I am...

MANIC is what I am!

Yes, bi-polarism hides on my *gag* father's *gag* side of the family tree, and
NO, I do not have it, not medically-speaking anyway, and I don't care what it might seem like. If the doctor says it ain't there, it ain't there, dammit! ^_~

And now I'll be teased forever. Behold:

i am DUMBLEDORE!

You are a DUMBLEDORE to Harry! You are kind, nice and a bit crazy. Everyone looks up to you and respects you. You're basically the nice old guy in the bunch ;D

Which adult in Harrys life are YOU?

I'm an old man :^P The gender-bending Kontinues...

"You shall see darkness...God Is God..."

Heh, 'scuse me *beats back the "quoting Juno Reactor samples" urges with a stick* ;^D

Incidentally the reason that song is cool despite being annoying: it contains dialogue from The Ten Commandments

So take a peekaboo at my new stuff, already! You have been commanded ^_^

Get Ur Freak On

'Cause I'm Missus Vain

Why be such a posuer? Why not? It's what I am. *Revels in being what she is*.

I know, I know, I know. It's the umpteenth "bad" mood in a row. There's too much sh*t going on for me to be happy all the time. I commend those of you who can, but I myself lack the strength. I'm a wimp, you know ;^) Rest assured, tho' : *Sings along with the VengaBoys* "happiness is just around the corner--hey now hey now, hear what I say now..."

Yes, I listen to cheesy dance-pop. I have since I was toddling 'round to my mother's Jackson 5 LPs. I have three words for you: deal--with--it. In the spirit of true love and friendship, of course :^D

Ehehehehe. Lireche gets a nod from Erni :^D Tha's cool, uh-huuuh :^D The Firestarter =^D *Cues "Fire" by Scooter*

My parents made up a few days ago. ;^P Actually the argument would never have reached such a rolling boil without a little help from our long-term houseguest. *Chanting to self* "Eight weeks, just eight more weeks...must not kill...must NOT...kill..."

I'm the sort of person who, by some odd karmic accident, picks up on a trend or a fad about six months before it's cool. So, of course, for six months I am laughed at, pointed at, stared at, and otherwise mocked.

Then everybody else hops on the bandwagon, and all of a sudden, I'm "one of them". Wtf? Excuuuse me? So now suddenly because your little lemming brains have decided to stop berating me and start imitating me instead, I'm cool? Screw you people.

I'm not making this up. It happened with Pokemon, with the 80's revival, with Static-X (who I liked for a whole YEAR AND A HALF before anyone knew who the hell they were, thank you very much), with techno music, and with Sailor Moon. The list, by the way, goes on, but I think you get the point.

Why did I tell you that? *Blink blink* Dunno. But I had fun yelling about it ;^D

Here, here's a Friday Five (one of the few trends I'll follow) on Thursday:

BOOKS THIS MONTH:

Absolute Power David Baldacci
A Dangerous Fortune Ken Follett
Spindoc Steve Perry
An Acceptable Time Madeline L'Engle
Memoirs of A Geisha Arthur Golden

Are you not entertained?

ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?

No? Too bad, I don't give out refunds.

I'm teasing, by the way--though not about the refund part ;^D
It is with much weirdness of mood that I bid you folks adieu.

So...adieu, and stuff :^D

Without Ever Knowing The Way

Aimlessness, Sue-ism, and Other Forms of Stupidity

Parents are fighting. Guh. I wouldn't mind so much if they hadn't been locked in combat for the entire weekend.
So what's good today? Umm.

Nyohah sent me e-mail :^) Says the thread is interesting but doesn't really know where it's going. That's ok, neither do I ;^) Nearest I can tell, it's got something to do with an evil dude named Lorndolf and the exponentially-hastening fall of Edenia. Her character Lireche apparently will have a hand in that; really it depends on who's next and what they post, and how it all plays together...I've tried to do that at least, yeah? Make sure that everyone's maunderings are at least (sort of) in a row. One of my larger posts was actually an elaborate variation of one of the ones preceeding it, so there's at least a pretense of continuity there.

It comes down to waiting, and then letting the characters in my control--Evan, Jhera, Valene, Nangla, and Wylend Falgiere--react to whatever happens around them. Lireche's fire-starting was utterly brill, it was something swell to react from, I really liked that :^D I plunked down a province- name of Ermax's down in the thread, but I don't think anybody noticed ;^) Sullace, for the curious ;^) I'm really skittish to pick up someone else's work though, except in a tertiary sort of way..."shaken, not stirred. Stirring bruises the gin." And suppose I stir by mistake, y'know?

I'm nothing if not gutless :^D

Supposing I gather up the nerve, I'd like to pit Vaudkin and Wylend against each other, see what happens. Wylend has got some sort of position on or with the Senate; an indeterminate kind of influence, or Nangla wouldn't be dealing with him. She's evil at first glance, huh? Nah--she's got family in Ghan'drid, and they're more important to her than the confidentiality of Sindel's information. That's her reasoning--"Blights in Sullace? Nothing new there, and she'll be speaking on it in a few days anyway. I don't know what he needs it early for, but that's hardly my problem." She and Wylend have been trading bits of gossip off and on for years, all of it grey-area stuff. She'd never intentionally hurt the Queen's interests--not when it's Sindel that put her where she is. However if backed into the wall, she folds, every time. Pointless sidenote: in my own continuity, Nangla is the carrier-mother of a certain violet-clad genetic aberration...

Valene knows something is going on, and that something is going to be the presence of Shang Tsung. A bit difficult to explain, given Lorndolf's presence already, but I'll come up with something. Ditto Wylend--Vaudkin's competition, perhaps? Or he may have things to fear as regards Lorndolf's apprentice, who as far as I know hasn't even got a name yet...

I'll worry about it later. G'night. :^)
