In This Darkness

These Walls Never See Me

Note: those funky lines of italics that appear for no reason are lyrics and are what is known as "flavor text". They're a nice clue-in to my mindset just now. For the curious, they're Traci Lords' "Fallen Angel" off the album "1,000 Fires".

Everything I've heard lately goes like this: whatever happened to that "interesting" chick who does "interesting" things and keeps us posted?

To which I say: what am I, a television show? Wait, I can see that--"Everybody Loathes Elrond". Woo, go me ;^P

In english--stress, work, chores, work, stress, stress, work, stress, chores and more stress. I'm seriously not getting enough sleep, eating almost nothing but chocolate and caffiene, and not much of that--right now I'm sitting here, spaced out on Enya and Traci Lords, totally floating from blood-sugar dropout.

Is it love, love, love?

"I bit this fellow at Woodstock, spent six days watchin' my hand move." It kinda feels like that. I'd complain, but the dizziness is basically countered by the intense headache, so it balances out.

Halloween was not fun. In fact all of October has been a month-long Hell Week (if that makes any sense to my readers abroad).

[Your] thoughts of suicide, like a mirror

Well, that's not strictly true. The Buffy marathon was fun--the single episode I got to see, anyway. Trick-or-treating was okay. After I screamed myself hoarse, it worked out pretty well.

Oh oh oh, did I show you my letter from His Majesty Kahn? No? Oooh, too bad, you missed a great letter. ^_-

I can't hide, Fallen Angel, Fallen Angel

I might show you the highlights later. Assuming I can find the letter in that massive dross-pile beside my bed where I keep all my important stuff--CDs, papers, clothes, jewelry, makeup, small animals, parts six through eight of my master plan to take over Earth, the corpses of those fools who got in my way--you know, the usual.

Umm. The layout is turning out better than I'd expected. Reconstruction of the Arena and the development of fanshrines (Millerne Aston, woo! Folken Fanel, woo! Hunky naked fishmen from Fathom! WOO!) are both taking a lot longer than I anticipated, but the Forest of Madness turned out really really really well.

Should I add one more "really", just for emphasis? ;^)

Side thought: I love the < span > command for CSS. It is SO useful. Seriously. I spent twelve hours (no bullsh*tting!) trying to do the new Index page in tables, and got nowhere in terms of what I wanted.

Using CSS the next day, I had that sucker drawn up almost exactly like I wanted it within 20 minutes. Style-sheet-phobics take note. ;^D

We're all dancing, in the darkness,
Don't shut out the light

Since

1) people have been asking for pix, and

2) I don't have a scanner or a digicam,

May I present you instead with my playlist/favorite Winamp skin (seen against my gorgeous desktop wallpaper ^_-)

and

a guest appearance by my blog.

More bullsh*t soon, I've got off-time coming up. Beware >^D

Later, peeps :^)
