Stranger Things

That Happened

Short version: cousin never showed up because her mother got a whanging case of hypochondria and was bounced in and out of the hospital over the holidays. Cousin's stress therefrom made her, in turn, sick enough to go to the hospital. Hence why they didn't show.

And in case I don't look like a big enough jerk yet, my birthday actually worked out alright. Better than alright. They remembered.

Yes, I'm a heel ^^;

In other news, I got a haircut. More than a trim, mind you. It was past my waist. Now it's chin-level. Reese Witherspoon me ^_^ People keep telling me I look years older. Yay!

Also the scanner works, which means I may actually be corralled into fanart at some point. Just be advised: I can't draw worth a damn, and there's nothing you can do about it, and no way to stop me from posting it! Bwa-ha-ha-haaaaa! >^D

I just felt sorta obligated to post something...

Lemme see: in RL news, Kayla (note the lovely name change) gave me her email adress and phone number. I gather we'll get together for coffee or something at some point.

Also, uh, had a social evening with some of the volunteer-workers and mom. We could have stayed for pizza and I kinda wish we did, but oh well... Fulfilled my social-life quotient for the week, at least ;^P

Some times I do get a little bit stir-crazy...

My new audio obsession? Jem and the Holograms. Run in FEAR LoL ;^P Yes, they're a fictional band. No, I don't care. Eighties glam-pop lives. *^_^*

Other notables? Revolutionary Girl Utena. In fact, Koteth's improved sociability (I didn't want him to be a total sleazebucket) comes largely from the character of Kriyuu Touga. Also the flaming red hair, LoL. Although he was already a redhead before I ever saw Utena...Tread lightly in searches thereon, Kemosabe. A lot of the Web representin' for the fandom's kinda seedy ^^;

Of course, it's more fun that way, but still...and we'll pretend I didn't say that and we'll pretend I don't think Elrond needs a spanking and we'll not say one blessed word about mutantshipping >^}

Or rather, nothing besides this helpful definition:

mutantshipping:(v.) 1) To ship, as in fan-fiction, a mutant-mutant, mutant-human, or mutant-other relationship. Esp. in reference to the mutants of Mortal Kombat. 2)(n.) An instance of such fiction, behavior etc.

It's not just a pass-time. It's a way of life >^D

Later peeps :^)
