Soular Systems

Humalien Girl

Listening: Universal Race Theatre of Tragedy

Reading: Skeleton Canyon JA Jance, Bloodlines Sidney Sheldon, and (Honor Harrington) Field of Dishonor David Weber. Simultaneously.

Wishing: For about six grand. Cash.

Sheldon's stuff is easy, formulaic, typical bestseller.

I mean that in the best possible way--he's brilliant at telling the same story over and over again. I'd've burnt out long ago. And hey, he made I Dream of Jeannie *all bow down to the coolness of Jeannie!*

Finished it last night. As his go, it was less complex and less cohesive than anything he used to do. His best book was If Tommorow Comes and everything else is kind of *yawn*.

Skeleton Canyon by JA Jance is slightly better. One of mom's detective novels. This is what I read when I'm scrambling for something. It's fairly suspenseful, even though I cheated and read the end first.

Field of Dishonor is the fourth of a volume serial by David Weber about one woman's difficult rise through the Royal Manticoran Space Navy. Horatio Hornblower in outer space with a female lead *^_^* *LOVE* Okay, so it's a repeat-read. It's still better than Bloodlines.

*shrug*

Yes, I'm sure there are lots of other lovely books out there. I don't have the funds. What doesn't cost me in terms of buying the things, it'll cost me in terms of gas. Which, with our behemoth car, is a bundle. (This is also the reason I haven't been out dancing, or to the mall, or anyplace more exciting than the grocery store, and there to stick to a depressingly tight budget.)

Dunno what upsets you
Gonna take you to the outer space

I might recycle Vulcan's Forge. Bones has great moments in it. Bones rulez0r.

This is what I do when life gets icky: pull the sci-fi off the shelves and beam my ass up to Elsewhere.

Easter? >_<

I dunno. I used to be so sure, so certain that I believed what it meant. Is He as bogus as the Tooth Fairy and all her companions? Let's just say I'm beginning to wonder...

*Is immediately toasted at the stake for daring to ask questions*

Crispy >^D

I'm sort of quietly edging out of that system. I don't really see the point in it anymore. Not that anybody cares, but, y'know. I do. And it's my blog. *Cackle cackle*.

Find planets red, blue,
Let's make a universal race

Fic? DON'T ask >_<

Although, I did make headway with some things that ought to freak a few people out >^D

Dunno what upsets you

And "Faces" is just about done. I suppose if I tone it down a little more, it can bounce its way out under the public eye...

I didn't know you read stuff with that rating-marker. I'll just have to accomodate that. *Slam-dance*

Spike/Dru? DEFINITELY Spike/Dru. Spike and his ladylove 4-eva.

RrrrRRR Xander/Spike >^D GREAT if it's done right.

And Xander/Anya. They're so cute ^_^

Vamp Willow/Spike? It was just a passing thought. Although, that said, I like when she plays with Angel >^D

"Bored now."

Utena: (not that this will make any sense to anyone else)

In order of preference

Anthy/Utena (rrrr shojo-ai)

Utena/Touga (standard het)

Miki/Anthy (standard het)

Touga/Saionji (rrrr shounen-ai)

Saionji/Anthy (standard het)

Juri/Utena (rrrr shojo-ai)

Mortal Kombat:

Again, order of preference

Baraka/Mileena (The One True Pairing 'Nuff said, I should think.)

Top billing always goes to that pairing. The pathetic runner-up substitutions are below:

Kitana/Kung Lao (nobody else thinks in terms of hurt/comfort here?)

Mileena/Kitana (I can't find anything with this pairing. I'm fixing that.)

Jax/Sonya (come on. Everybody knows Cage is squishy.)

Shang Tsung/Sonya (Movieverse. It's an interesting match that recently came to my attention.)

Jem and the Holograms:

(all of these are femmepairs; the guys in the show were pathetic. Although Rio at least wore a mullet, LOL >^D )

Jem/Pizzazz
Stormer/Jetta
Roxy/Pizzazz

Umm, I think we're done here. Nothing more to see. ^_~
