It's Alright, I Have More Scotch

Happy Friggin' Holidays

Required Listening = Michael Jackson's "Ghosts"

Thanksgiving was--interesting.

We had pork chops instead of turkey, but other than that it was standard.

I don't understand it
(got a ghost, there's a ghoul in the hall)

I watched Buffy ^_^

"Hush" is fantastic. I was surprised, a lot of my nightmares are like that. Especially the recurring ones.

And who gave you the right to scare my baby, she needs me

I have this one where they've put me in a flashproof steel box and the building's on fire. The flames get in, licking up the paint on the metal, using up the air. I scream and there's no sound. There never is. The flames are in my hair, dancing down my flesh, down my throat, burning me starting with the insides. Burning out the voice. Feeding on the screams no one else can hear. Only the box is left, gleaming implaceable surgical steel waiting for its next victim.

And then there's the hospital one, but that one's just gross. WAY too much gore for daytime TV.

Anyhow, "Hush" rules *^_^*

Sadly, the only one I didn't catch (minus the ones after 11PM, LoL) was "Buffy Vs. Dracula" *pouts*. I'll just have to watch it some other time.

And who gave you the right to shake my family tree?

The pre-Thanksgiving thing with the relatives was actually *gasp!* kind of fun.

The step-cousins we see once a year were there. The older one's in ROTC now. The younger's just about ready to take the next step from diapers. (Bit of an age discrepancy there, do we think?) They're basically nice, same with the parents. I don't know them well, obviously, but I like what I know :^)

And who gave you the right to scare my family?

Step-grandmother, and step-great-grandmother, (gets complicated, don't it?) were gracious hosts. Surprisingly enough, they didn't serve turkey either. Steak and shrimp.

Also, our cousin brought his paint-ball gun along, so him and Tench took turns shooting the cemetery wall at the end of the street. That was cool *^_^*

*TENCH is sniping the edge of the wall, consistently aiming high and to the right, as if to offset the report of an actual firearm*

UNCLE: Would you quit aiming it like a rifle!
TENCH: ??
UNCLE: (laughing) It's not a real gun *Illustrates* See? No recoil. Not much, anyway.

Tell me, are you the ghost of jealousy?

Actual Thanksgiving at home was, as I said, unremarkable. And there were no--unexpected phone calls.

And who gave you the right to hurt my family?
And who gave you the right to take intrusion, to see me?
And who gave you the right to hurt my baby, she needs me
And who gave you the right to shake my family tree?

Other than that, lemme think:

Didn't go dancing--didn't expect to, really. Stepdad hates clubs and all. Plus there's the fact that our car devours gas like it's water, and it's like $21 for a tank of gas, and I don't feel like shelling out almost $30 (gas and cover and parking) just to go dancing.

*Stays in and revs up the MP3s*

And propz to Amy for pointing out The Whistle Song :^D

Yeah. I'm a lot more bitter than I look, but why ruin everyone else's holiday? Nothing else to see here, move along. Run while you still can.

*Grits teeth* I'm smiling, see?

Where's the aspirin? Screw the aspirin, where's the caffeine? *Turns the stereo way way up*

Put a knife in my back shot an arrow in me

Happy Thanksgiving?

I am the ghost of jealousy

Yeah, uh-huh, Happy Thanksgiving. *Ironic smile.* See you 'round.
