Pitchin' (In Every Direction)
They Always Keep Her Hoppin'
Very quickly:
I must call the Disabilities Office to have an exemption cleared on the CPT (Comp. Placement Test), which should have been cleared by my godly ACT scores. I MUST have a calculator for this test, else I will do remedial math. Even I am not that poor at math.
And I would have been exempt, except my ACT results are expired. Kahn and his hordes prevented this with their paperwork. *Draws blades and makes hash of his papers.* There we are ^_^
So, CPT for me. Dialing the Disabilities Office as soon as I help stepdad with his resume`.
I am not at all worried about the English/Reading portion.
Triumph! I walk up to the desk and start babbling out my queries about placement. She retrieves my record. Her polite expression falls off her face and shatters on the floor--she's blinking in astonishment, as at a sudden harsh light.
"Oh my," she says. "I've never seen a 32 in English before."
Worry creeps in. "Uh." *Cough.* "Is that good?"
With a flutter of her hands: "I didn't know the scores went that high."
Appropriate laughter: "I guess they do now."
"What's your plans?"
Big smile. "English premajor."
"Oh!" Chuckle. "You're certainly in the right field."
In short: BOW TO ME.
I'm so very sorry; I know I'm horribly neglectful lately, but it's because I'm moving at Warp Speed (more like Warp Ten, Mr. Sulu) to get all this fun new paperwork I didn't know about flat by the time official open registration begins on Friday.
Yeah. THIS Friday. As in. About 39.8 hours from now.
Am I stressed?
You are joking. Please be joking.
I had coffee and Tums for breakfast.
I'm better now; the tremors are down since I ate something but I'm still talking at a Brin-like pace and intensity: "Hi there I'm Jheti and are you new here because I am and can you tell me where Building C is thank you you're an angel I think I love you thank you SO much bye!"
Much love. Highly excited about QHG. Patiently waiting for the Postlude. BIG congrats on the victory. Totally don't understand football, but I know a Double Flawless when I see one ^_~
And, hey, Arizona. Travel? That sounds absolutely grand. Take photos ;^D
Until I see this kingdom's mine,
I'll turn the darkness into light. I'll guide the blind.
My will be done until
the day I see
This kingdom has been won.
VNV Nation, "Kingdom"
(Yes, I'm on a VNV Nation kick right now, why do you ask?)
Oh look. Yet ANOTHER thingy that requres my attention *smolders.*
Seeya peeps. *Dashes off.* Gotta go fix more things. I feel like I'm putting out brushfires, really.
